Live Wild & Collagen Boosted Bliss Balls
Simple, delicious, and packed with skin, gut, brain and nervous system–nourishing ingredients. These keep perfectly in the fridge and have a chewy, satisfying texture. Not too sweet, yet full of flavour.
Makes approximately 24 balls, depending on size.
Ingredients
4 cups almond meal
4 tbsp maple syrup
2 tbsp bovine collagen powder
2 tsp chia seeds
2 tsp cacao nibs
2 tbsp melted unsalted butter or cacao butter
1 tbsp Super Reds
1 tbsp Super Greens
½ cup melted dark chocolate
Freeze-dried raspberries, optional
Flaky sea salt, optional
Water, if needed
Method
Add the almond meal, maple syrup, chia seeds, cacao nibs, and melted butter or cacao butter to a bowl. Mix well until combined.
Separate the mixture evenly into two bowls. Add the Super Reds to one bowl and the Super Greens to the other, mixing each really well until the powders are fully incorporated.
Alternatively, you can add 2 tablespoons of one flavour to the entire mixture instead.
If the mixture feels too dry, add 1 tsp of water at a time until it holds together. You will need to firmly squeeze the mixture together to help bind it.
Roll into balls, then place into the fridge or freezer for 30 minutes to firm up.
Once chilled, drizzle with melted dark chocolate.
While the chocolate is still wet, sprinkle over crumbled freeze-dried raspberries and flaky sea salt, if using.
Allow the chocolate to set, then store in the fridge.
Eat with a warming cup of your favourite brew and enjoy the moment.
